Leeds boss Gracia stands by Meslier: A very good keeper

Leeds United manager Javi Gracia has highlighted everything Illan Meslier has gone through in recent weeks and months.

The shot stopper had conceded 18 goals over the past five matches before Leeds took on Leicester City.

However, he was outstanding in that game, pulling off several great saves to earn his side a 1-1 draw and a valuable Premier League point.

"Of course, he's a great keeper," Gracia said at his post-match press conference after the draw.

"But like all the players and even younger players come up and downs and you know this process is something you have to accept.

"In this moment it is hard sometimes because when someone makes some mistakes, all of us only see the bad things, but of course he's a very good keeper.

"All the players we have are good players, we only have to manage the moment, try to stay together and try to get the results we need until the end."
